“Going Dutch” means sharing the cost of something equally.

What is the origin of the phrase “going dutch”?

I googled and I found this from the Wikipedia:

The phrase “going Dutch” originates from the concept of a Dutch door.  Previously on farmhouses this consisted of two equal parts.  Another school of thought is that is may be related to Dutch etiquette.  In the Netherlands, it was not unusual to pay separately when going out as a group.  When dating in a 1 on 1 situation however, the man will most commonly pay for meals and drinks.

In my CrazyCool second life, the point I’m making when I say “going Dutch” is when I wear my Sjors skin line from DUTCH TOUCH.  This skins and shapes company is owned by Iki Ikarus.  I find her to be one of the most creative in SL.  I love her skins.  Again, for the reason of detail and style she gives to each of her creations.

Red promotes energy, empowerment, and stimulation. Physically, it is thought to improve circulation and stimulate red blood cell production.

Purple promotes enlightenment, revelation, and spiritual awakening. Holistic healthcare providers use purple to soothe organs, relax muscles, and calm the nervous system.

Blue promotes communication and knowledge. It eliminates toxins, and is used to treat liver disorders and jaundice.

Because it is located in the middle of the color spectrum, green is associated with balance. Green is calming, and is used by Ayurvedic practitioners to promote healing of ulcers. It is said to have antiseptic, germicide, and antibacterial properties and is sometimes used by holistic color therapists to treat bacterial infections.

Yellow is a sensory stimulant associated with wisdom and clarity. Yellow is thought to have decongestant and antibacterial properties, and is useful in stimulating both the digestive system and the lymphatic system.

Orange promotes pleasure, enthusiasm, and sexual stimulation. Ayurvedic practitioners believe it has antibacterial properties and may be useful in easing digestive system discomforts (e.g., flatulence, cramps).

Zaara, an Indian wear boutique is great with using fusions of color in their eclectic designs.  I was initially attracted to Zaara because of the colors they use on all of their jewelry and garments.  The outfit I am wearing is created by Zaara.  I really like them a lot.  Here’s the link to their blog.
